HAMWORTHY UNITED 5 Dorchester UNITED 2 DORCHESTER United boss Kevin Hillier reckons the Hammers will be hard pushed to retain their Dorset Premier League crown after they maintained their 100 per cent record with this big win.

"The scoreline wasn't a true reflection of the game overall," insisted Hillier. "We had a ten minute spell in the second half when we were all at sea and they over-ran us and scored four, but apart from that it was pretty even. On that showing I don't think they will win the league."

Hillier claimed the

officials seemed "intimidated" by the champions. "Every time they shouted for something they got the decision," he said. "One of their lads spent the whole game swearing at the

referee who did absolutely nothing about it."

The visitors twice went close to taking the lead before the champions opened the scoring after six minutes through Shaun Bartlett.

United keeper Dan Claxton then saved a controversial penalty from Jamie Holland, United claimed it was a ball-to-hand incident, and they were unlucky not to level just before the break when Regan Churchill's free-kick came back off the

crossbar.

Four goals in a seven minute spell - three of them from Tom McCormick and the other from Phil Brown - put the Hammers in command.

"It wasn't so much bad defending as naiviety," said Hillier. "We have a

tendency to attack too much and we got caught upfield. Even then two of their shots hit our defenders and fell kindly to their players to put the ball home."

United regained their composure to score twice in the last 15 minutes.

On both occasions substitute Steve Churchill was released down the left to out-pace the Hammers defence and slot home and they almost had another when Andy Cleal forced a good save from the home keeper.
