Dorchester Reserves midfielder Simon Critchell begins a 35-day suspension tomorrow after falling victim to Dorset football's draconian disciplinary policy.
The ex-Terras youngster was given the hefty ban after being sent off for swearing at an official in a Dorset Premier League game against Wareham Rangers at the end of last season.
"It's the usual inconsistent situation where he would have been banned for a couple of matches if it had happened in the Dr Martens League," said Magpies second team boss Phil Simkin. "But because it was dealt with by the Dorset FA he will end up missing four or five games and that seems very harsh."
With striker and leading scorer Aaron Turner now trying his luck with Salisbury, Simkin is forced to make several changes for his unbeaten side's clash tomorrow with Westlands Sports at the Avenue Stadium.
Garry Langrish, who capped an impressive performance in the Magpies last home game against Sturminster Newton with a goal, should be fit to return after missing the Wareham game with a shoulder injury.
There should be Dorchester debuts for former Bridport attacker Mike Flann and goalkeeper Les Elsworth.
"There's no question we will miss Aaron but now someone else has the chance to make their mark," said Simkin, who has Mika Dronyk back from his training with the England U18 squad. Dan Walsh may figure on the bench after missing out so far with a back injury.
Dorchester Res: Graves/Elsworth, Wilson, S Langrish, Gilbert, Lock, Dovell, G Langrish, Vincent, Flann, Christopher, Byerley, Brannigan, Dronyk, Symes, Walsh.
