Dorchester councillors have given the go-ahead to a raft of new street names for Poundbury.
Planners for Phase Two of Prince Charles' dream development have come up with 39 suggested new names for streets, squares and courtyards, all inspired by the Duchy of Cornwall. Dorchester Town council's planning and environment committee gave them all the green light.
They are: Archerton; Babeny; Beechwood; Bellever; Brimpts; Challacombe; Cherry-brook; Crockern; Dartmeet; Dunnabridge; East Okement; Frenchbeer; Great Cranford; Hartyland; Headland Warren; Hermitage; Hessary; Hexworthy; Lakehead; Lydgate; Merripit; Oakery; Ringhill; Roundhill; Rundlestone; Shapley; Sherberton; Small-waters; Stannon, Swincombe, Taviton, Teigncombe, Wallabrook, Webburn, Westcott, Whiteworks, Wilminstone, Woodville and Yardworthy.
