CHURCHGOERS are holding a bring and buy sale with a difference - in a pub car park with used motors.
Fundraisers from the Purbeck Vineyard Church in Wool are staging the 'car bar' outside the Red Lion in Winfrith to collect cash for a £25,000 appeal.
Valerie Moass, one of the organisers, said: "It's a bring and buy car bar. People who want to sell their cars bring them along to show off and others who want to buy a car can come and look at vehicles.
"These sort of car bars are very popular in Australia and America."
The church is holding the event to raise cash towards a £25,000 appeal to revamp a new church they have bought and to provide community facilities.
The October 11 event starts at 10am and runs until 4pm. The cost of a pitch for sellers is £5 and entry is free for potential buyers.
Work to be carried out at the church includes a new floor, computers and facilities for young people.
Contact Mrs Moass on 01305 852100 to book a pitch in advance.
