THE departure of Aaron Turner to Salisbury looks to have left Magpies reserve team boss Phil Simkin with a goalscoring headache.
"We never looked like losing - in fact I can't remember them having a decent shot all game - but it was difficult to see where our goals are going to come from," said Simkin after a Dorset Premier League stalemate.
"It looks as though I am going to have to go out and find someone else to play alongside Wayne Byerley."
Former Bees attacker Mike Flann made his Magpies debut in Turner's place, but didn't have the best of starts when he missed from three yards inside the first minute.
"We had a few half chances after that and Byerley was a bit unlucky late on when he was brought down inside the box when he was one-on-one with their keeper and we got nothing," said Simkin. "But generally it was a pretty dire game.
"With Simon Critchell suspended and Steve Legg called into the first team the heart was ripped out of the side and we didn't play much through midfield. Fortunately our defence was superb again and you've got to be happy after conceding only three goals in our first five games. It's at the other end where we clearly have problems that I am going to have to address.
"Turner came on as a substitute for his Salisbury debut and helped turn a 2-0 deficit into a 2-2 draw so I don't suppose we will be seeing him again."
