DISABLED people can now enjoy Bournemouth's golden sands as much as everyone else, thanks to some new beach-friendly wheelchairs.
The new chairs can travel along the sand thanks to large inflatable wheels and a pair of outrigger wheels to add stability.
They were bought with funds from the Bournemouth Lottery and will be available from seafront officers at Alum Chine, Durley Chine, Bournemouth, Boscombe and Southbourne. A £20 deposit is required for the use of the chair for a full day.
Cllr Angela Manton said: "It's great that we've put the remaining lottery money to such good use."
