A GOOD turnout of all ages attended Bridport Clay Pigeon Shooting Club's last meeting at Shipton Gorge.
Weather conditions were good for the 24 competitors in the 50-bird sporting compax shoot, with the pair off the hill being far out at extreme range.
Results: 1 H Poynton 35/50; 2 Lee Richards 29/50; 3 Terry Armes 29/50 (on count out).
Ladies: 1 Vicky Day 27/50
Juniors (25-bird shoot): 1 Charlie Day (age 11) 11/25; 2 Max Day (age 8) 8/25.
*THE next shoot is brought forward by one week to this Sunday, August 22, to avoid the Bank Holiday.
It will be a traditional 50-bird sporting shoot. Entrants must arrive by 10am, members by 9am, ready to start at 10.15am until 1pm. Cartridges can be bought on the ground.
The club have introduced a new system of nominating a different member to decide the stand layout for each shoot. The designated member for this Sunday is Neil Morgan.
Guest shooters are welcome (limited numbers). For details and membership information contact Dan Walker on 01308 423363 or Doug on 01308 422126.
