FINAL preparations are being made for Bridport Carnival this weekend.
The main procession takes place through the town on Saturday night.
And chairman Shaun Fox said they were pleased with the amount of entries they had received.
The procession will be led by the Bournemouth Marching Band - thanks to a £250 donation from Steve Smith of Steve's TVs.
Mr Fox said: "It is great news that they will be leading the procession - we are grateful to Steve's TVs for the donation."
The events are as follows:
l Friday: Car Boot Sale, 6pm at Carnival Field, Sea Road South; Organ Recital by Keith Moxon at 7.30pm St Mary's Church
l Saturday: Carnival Golf, 8am at Bridport and West Dorset Golf Club; Wessex Military Band, 9am-1pm Bucky Doo Square; Carnival Procession, 7pm, followed by dancing in the street
l Sunday: Carnival Fete, 1.30pm - 5pm, Carnival Field, Sea Road South; Torchlight Procession, 9pm, followed by music, bar and dancing on East Beach; 10.15pm firework display.
