STEFAN Savic pitched in at Weymouth Football Club when the Terras invited him to be their mascot for the day.
The Bosnian boy, whose life-changing facial surgery was funded by Echo readers, ran onto the Wessex Stadium turf with goalkeeper Jason Matthews.
The treat was organised by army staff sergeant Wayne Ingram of the Royal Lancers Regiment, who led the Stefan Appeal to raise money for his operations. Stefan cheered on the Terras, who drew 1-1 against Grays Athletic in a tense match on Saturday.
His return to Weymouth, with mother Slavenka and an interpreter, was part of a trip to Britain for check-ups at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
The six-year-old underwent major surgery last October to remove a large lump between his eyes, correct a facial cleft, move his eyes closer together, reconstruct his nose and cheekbones, and improve his sight.
