IT was third time lucky for a school cleaner from Bournemouth when she won more than £100,000 on the bingo.
Pat Moran scooped the massive prize after making a last-minute decision to accompany her daughter Sharon and two friends to the Gala Club in Tower Park, Poole, because she was feeling lucky.
On only her third visit to the club in the last year, Pat completed a full house in 41 numbers, scooping the club prize of £237, a regional prize of £1,035 and the National Bingo Game jackpot of £100,000.
Sharon, 35, of West Howe, also struck lucky with a £200 house prize earlier in the evening.
Pat, 55, of West Howe, admitted her win had not yet sunk in. "It certainly was my lucky night. I couldn't believe it. I was quite numb. The others were jumping around but I was quite quiet," she said.
Afterwards, she went home to wake up her husband, 62-year-old civil engineer John. "We said: 'Get downstairs quick'. At first he didn't believe us, but then he said he knew we wouldn't have woken him up for £100."
Pat, who also has three sons and 10 grandchildren, has not yet decided what to do with her winnings - apart from buying some sweets for the children at Linwood School, where she works.
"I'm just an ordinary person and I'm trying to keep my feet on the ground, but I definitely need a new kitchen. This makes life so much easier. It's brilliant and I'm gobsmacked," she said.
