JOBHUNTERS are converging on Bournemouth again today for day two of the Daily Echo Recruitment, Training & Careers Exhibition.

Recruiters were kept busy at yesterday's launch of the exhibition, which is being held in association with the Peverel Group at Bournemouth's Hilton Hotel.

Office Angels Bournemouth career consultant Liz Norman-dale said: "It has been very good, very busy.

"The quality of candidates has been excellent. It's nice to see people proactively looking for work and coming to an exhibiton like this."

Adecco Bournemouth branch manager Caron Smith has 45 companies looking to fill permanent vacancies.

"There's still a lot of demand from call centres, finance and insurance. The mortgage industry is going through regulation. They are tightening up and expanding," she said.

SOS Recruitment has more than 200 vacancies. Senior consultant Paul Barter said: "There's very strong demand in financial services at the moment - Liverpool Victoria, RIAS, JPMorgan."

SOS of Old Christchurch Road, Bournemouth has just opened a second office, also in Old Christchurch Road.
