HOW do you view our relationship with America? Should the voting age be lowered? How are you going to persuade people to go for the euro?

Those were just some of the questions fired at Liberal Democrat leader Charles Kennedy when he visited Dorset to find out more about the views of the county's young people.

He was a guest at Corfe Hills School in Broadstone on Monday where he took questions from sixth form students at Lytchett Minster Upper, Purbeck Upper, Poole and Parkstone Grammar Schools and Rossmore College.

Mr Kennedy was joined by Liberal Democrat MP for Mid Dorset and North Poole Annette Brooke as well as her husband, Cllr Mike Brooke.

"I do a huge number of these around the country and I think they're extremely important," said Mr Kennedy

"These are the voters of the future and we like to think of ourselves as the party of the future."
