DO you know someone who has raised thousands of pounds for charity or made a difference in their community or is just an all-round good egg?
If so, we want to hear from you.
The Daily Echo has joined forces with Haskins Garden Centre, to mark the 10th anniversary of its Ferndown store, to search for a local hero.
The top 10 heroes will receive an English oak tree to plant in their grounds.
Editor Neal Butterworth said: "Three years ago, the Echo launched its own Local Heroes campaign which culminated in a wonderful event where many local people were rewarded for their efforts.
"In a way, we are simply looking for 10 people who have gone above and beyond the call of duty, whether in the workplace, in the community or in their own homes."
And he added: "I am sure there are many of our readers who know at least one special person who deserves this award."
Angela Wiffen, managing director at Haskins, said: "The English oak trees were chosen as a symbol of permanency and strength, which is very much how we see Haskins and our garden centre at Ferndown.
"We are delighted to team up with the Daily Echo to give away 10 wonderful oak trees to deserving causes."
A judging panel will select the 10 most deserving nominees.
The suitable candidates must have contributed to the local community or achieved something special over the past decade. And the competition is also open to organ-isations which deserve an oak tree in their grounds.
To nominate someone, write to the Daily Echo at Mill Court, Mill Lane, Wimborne, Dorset BH21 1JQ, stating in no more than 150 words why you think they should win.
