DORSET county players Hannah Bews and Chantelle Scott are on their way to South Africa next month after earning selection for the Daily Telegraph Junior golfer competition.
Ringwood School pupil Hannah, aged 16, started golf at Canford Magna but is now a member at Broadstone. Chantelle, 18, plays at Knighton Heath.
They travel with 12 boys and six other girls to play at the famous Sun City resort for a week of competition.
Hannah was attending a psychology lesson at school when she heard the news. "All the other girls were jealous, but pleased for me," she said. "It's really exciting."
The five-handicapper from Ashley Heath won after carding a three-under-par 65 at Ferndown Forest where the standard scratch that day in July was 66. She also tried to qualify by playing in the rounds at Parkstone, South Winchester and Salisbury.
Chantelle qualified at her home course with a one-under-par round. The girls, who have often played together in the county team, leave on October 6.
