DORCHESTER'S longest ser-ving defender Andy Harris will be out of action for up to six weeks after breaking a bone in his foot.
Harris's Beckham-type injury, sustained when he was kicked in the closing minutes of Saturday's draw at St Albans, meant he missed last night's 4-3 defeat at Carshalton and will also rule him out of the big FA Cup clash against Weymouth.
"He's an experienced player who has played a lot at this level so we are bound to miss him," said Magpies boss Mark Morris who also learned
yesterday that star Spanish striker Juan Ugarte will also sit out the Terras match afer being handed a three-match ban following his red card against Sutton United for a two-footed tackle.
Ugarte scored his sixth goal in seven games from the penalty spot at Carshalton and Matt Groves also brought his tally to six before Justin Keeler again came off the bench to score for the second time in three games.
Morris said the former
AFC Bournemouth winger's return to goalscoring form after an injury-hit start to the season was encouraging with Ugarte's suspension imminent.
"We only have a small squad of 17 players so we can't afford too many injuries and to lose Andy and Juan at the same time is a blow.
"I will be scouring around looking for a replacement for Andy in particular but finding someone with the relevant experience won't be easy."
Without Harris the Magpies defence was in charitable mood at a windy and dimly-lit Carshalton with Morris attributing three of their four goals to "ridiculous defending".
"It was disappointing after the way we have defended in recent away games," he said. "We didn't do the job and
didn't really deserve to get anything.
"It was really a demonstration by both sides of how not to defend and it could have been something like 10-9. A couple of our young lads got bullied a bit to be honest and only Alex Browne looked up to it at the back. But saying that the midfield was practically non-existent in the first half as well.
"If we don't quite do the job any side is good enough in this league to punish us. I think they just wanted it more than us last night and it's not often I have to say that about my team."
