OLYMPIC rowing star Matthew Pinsent will be turning the tables when he visits a North Dorset Primary school this weekend.
The four-time gold medallist and three-day eventing silver medallist in Athens William Fox-Pitt are set to receive a thunderous reception when they attend St Nicholas' Primary School, Child Okeford on Sunday evening.
Around 200 people - including around 100 pupils plus staff and parents - will pack the hall for the occasion.
Spokeswoman Jenny Earley told the Echo: "Everyone is very excited and we are hoping they will bring along their medals.
"Matthew's parents Ewan and Jean live in the village and are very involved with the school. I don't think he needed much persuading to come along. William lives at nearby Fontmell Parva.
"We sent home a letter inviting the parents and children and there was a tremendous response but we had to draw the line at 200 as there wouldn't have been enough room."
During his visit, Matthew - who famously wept uncontrollably after his Athens success - will present an Active Mark Gold Award for improvement in sport to the school.
