BROCKENHURST produced a solid performance to come out with 1-1 draw against in-form Sydenhams Wessex League rivals Fareham Town at Grigg Lane.
The Badgers were up against a side that has won their last seven games on the bounce, but were never intimidated into thinking that they were about to be casualty number eight.
Fareham took an early lead after just 15 minutes, but ten minutes later Dan Marks produced an excellent header from around the penalty spot from a Jason Lovell cross to make it 1-1.
Brock boss Graham Kemp was more than happy with his team's performance.
"I was well impressed with Fareham and we knew before the game it would be tough, but even they said after the game that we played well and I don't think anybody has got any complaints about the result," said Kemp.
Brock: Brunnschweiler, Bryan, Morris, G.Kemp, Hillyer, White, N Kemp (Cox 60), Drew, Lovell, Wright, Marks (Grace 65). Unused sub: Winsall.
Christchurch disposed of Alton Town 3-0 at Hurn Bridge with goals from Richard Bentley (two) and Scott Joyce.
Bashley, meanwhile, lost 3-1 to Rymans Division One high-flyers Metropolitan Police at the Recreation Ground.
