BROCKENHURST produced arguably the greatest result in the club's history as they knocked out Conference South side Lewes on their own patch to continue their fairytale FA Cup run.
The 2-1 victory at The Dripping Pan easily ranks alongside Brock's other famous FA Cup victory, another 2-1 triumph over Isthmian Premier Division Kingstonian at the same stage of the same competition in 2001.
And away from home, against a side three divisions higher in the non-league pyramid, Graham Kemp's boys proved the magic of the cup is still sparkling as they marched into the third qualifying round.
And the player boss, in his last FA Cup adventure before he hangs up his boots at the end of this season, was uncharacteristically lost for words when trying to sum up the day.
"I'm speechless, almost!" Kemp laughed. "Every single player was absolutely outstanding. It wasn't a lucky 2-1 either. Their crowd stayed behind afterwards to give us a standing ovation as we left the pitch.
"You have someone like Barrington Belgrave playing up front who is on more money than our whole side put together and 18-year-old Dominic Bryan doesn't give him a kick. It was that sort of performance.
"Their manager told me he thought the referee was atrocious but I told him not to let that detract from our display and to be fair, he gave us the credit.
"There are people who have been involved with this club all their lives and say this is the best result we've ever had.
"We've done it the hard way so far, having been away in every round and we're just hoping for a good draw now."
Having already played four games just to reach this stage, Badgers had already enjoyed a lucrative run and would not have been disgraced to have returned home from Sussex with the cup dream over for another year.
But the New Forest side had the audacity to waltz into a 2-0 lead and although they had to withstand heavy late pressure from the hosts, they defended manfully to ensure it was their name in the hat for this morning's draw.
Playing into a stiff breeze in the first period, Brock were content to slow the pace of the game down early on and play possession football.
And they struck the first blow half an hour in. Jason Lovell, identified by Lewes as the main threat before the game, had already just beaten the offside trap and seen an effort saved moments before he repeated the trick, this time tucking the ball home.
Five minutes into the second half, Lovell was again involved in the penalty area as he was kicked in the throat stooping for a header.
The referee pointed to the spot and Paul White stepped up to continue his record of netting in every round, sending the goalkeeper the wrong way.
The Rooks responded positively but the Brock rearguard were equal to all thrown at it, until keeper Iain Brunnschweiler threw the hosts a lifeline.
With just 10 minutes to go, the stopper allowed a header from Barry Moore to squeeze through his legs.
But the usually reliable gloveman more than made up for his aberration with a number of important stops and claims, including a one-handed wonder with just minutes left, earning him and his team-mates a truly famous win.
Brockenhurst: Brunnschweiler, Bryan, Morris (Grace 75), G Kemp, Hillyer, White, N Kemp, Drew, Lovell, Winsall (Wright 70), Midgley (Marks 80). Unused subs: Cox, Potter.
