RYAN Sullivan has declared himself fit for Pirates' BSPA Knockout Cup semi-final home clash against Swindon tomorrow (Wednesday).

The Aussie ace, who sustained a injury to his left hand in a nasty track spill in the Norwegian Grand Prix on Saturday, missed Poole RIAS' 49-41 win at Wolves yesterday.

But he will return for the Dorset club against the Robins at Wimborne Road (7.30pm) although X-rays have still not confirmed whether he has broken fingers or not.

Pirates chief Matt Ford told the Daily Echo today: "Ryan is going to ride tomorrow.

"He feels his fingers and hand can take the strain.

"This is Ryan's decision solely and I know how desperate he is to be part of our run-in towards the end of the season.

"I am not concerned about Ryan's fitness because he should know better than anyone if he is up to the task.

"So he will be welcomed back into the team tomorrow and hopefully prove his fitness in the next 48 hours."

It means Sullivan will line up at home to Swindon in the first leg of their cup clash and, if he comes through that meeting successfully, at Blunsdon in the return on Thursday.

The Aussie would then return to Poole's team for their Elite League title play-off, second leg, against Wolves on Monday.
