LILLY was just 10 hours old when her name was added to the waiting list for a place at a popular village primary school - setting a new record.
In four years time Lilly should now be able to follow in the footsteps of her brother Ben, nine, and sister Lucy, five, and attend Lytchett Matravers primary school.
Mum Cheryl Dennett was taking no chances and made it a priority to have the newest member of her family added to the growing waiting list at the school.
Lilly was born last Saturday at Poole Hospital and within hours Cheryl contacted school head Mike Randall to ask for her daughter's name to be included on the school's future roll call.
"I've been involved with the school PTA and Ben and Lucy go there. It has a good, all-round schooling curriculum and a nice feel about it," said Cheryl, of Beacon Hill.
"We live just outside the catchment area so I wanted to be sure Lilly could get a place. Parents come from an unbelievable distance to get their children into the school."
Headteacher Mr Randall said: "Parents seem to like the school. It is very popular and it has strong community values. We are already over-subscribed for next year and I have 12 children under the age of one on the waiting list.
"But at 10 hours old Lilly is the youngest we've ever had registered with the school."
The school has pupils aged from four to 11.
