BEAUTIFULLY photographed docu-drama records events as a family of nomadic herders assists in the delivery of their camels' young.
One camel has a particularly difficult birth and when the mother produces a rare white colt, she immediately rejects it, refusing it all milk and attention.
Desperate for the colt to survive, the family sends its two youngest sons on a mission across the desert to track down a violinist in a backwater town. It is said the musician will be able to perform an ancient ritual that may be the camel's only hope of life.
Lovingly observed, the film offers an unusual insight on a way of life that's so different from our own.
