CUP specialists Brockenhurst saw their recent good cup form come to an end after a superb winner saw Andover through to the next round of the Hampshire Senior Cup.
Andover's Vince Rusher's mazy run and shot into the top corner was worthy of winning any game and it proved to be good enough on this occasion to edge battling Brock out 3-2.
After falling behind midway through the first half, the Badgers hit back when Alan Wright slotted home from Dave Midgeley's clever through-ball just before the break.
But player-boss Graham Kemp's unlucky deflected own goal from Justin Bennett's drive restored Andover's lead before Brock drew level again as Lee Winsall tucked home a close-range rebound after Dan Marks' run and shot.
But straight from the kick-off, Rusher set off, beat several opponents and curled a peach of a shot into the top corner which left Kemp philosophical as he ponders next weekend's FA Cup clash at home to Bath City.
He said: "We played pretty well. Andover are a very good side and when someone scores a goal of that quality against you, there isn't too much you can do about it.
"Of course we have the Bath game at the back of our mind but we have another game on Tuesday against Hamble in the Russell Cotes Cup and we need to make sure our attitude is right for that. People are playing for places."
Brock: Brunnschweiler, Grace, Morris, G Kemp, Hillyer, White, Drew, Cox (N Kemp, 70), Winsall, Wright, Midgeley (Marks, 65). Unused subs: Potter, Bryan, Cummings.
