THE career of former Wimborne man turned top magician Marc Paul is going from strength to strength.
The 35-year-old ex-pupil of Queen Elizabeth's School is appearing in a series of magic shows starting on BBC2 on Saturday night.
Marc said: "The first one takes a look at mind reading which is predominantly what I do. It's a documentary but it's also very entertaining and was great fun to do."
The series was filmed over a year ago and Marc is currently busy working on another show entitled Undercover Magic for Sky which will be screened some time next year.
Marc, whose real name is Marc Poore, first became involved in magic when he was nine.
Today, he is one of only 250 members of the elite Inner Magic Circle, amazing corporate and private audiences across the world with his performances in the style of David Blaine.
Since hitting the big time he has featured on national and international TV shows and is best known for his performance on the Parkinson show last December when his act stunned presenter Michael Parkinson and guests including Tom Jones, Martine McCutcheon and Alistair McGowan.
On top of a busy year at work, Marc married another former pupil of Queen Elizabeth's School, Emma Hague. The couple live in the New Forest.
Marc's parents Mike and Pauline, of River Close, Wimborne, are thrilled at their son's success.
"We are very proud of him," said Mr Poore.
Marc has his own website which can be found at www.marcpaul.com
The History of Magic is on BBC2 at 8.10pm on Saturday (October 16)
