A SECURICOR employee has been left "uninjured but shocked" after he was robbed by three hooded attackers while delivering money to a Poole shop.
The incident happened just before 9pm on Tuesday October 12 when the man was delivering money to the cash machine at McColl's newsagents and convenience store in the parade of shops in Alder Road, Parkstone.
Police now want to hear from anyone who witnessed the attack and Securicor is also offering a £5,000 reward for the recovery of the cash, and for information leading to the conviction of the robbers.
The robbers, who did not use a weapon, stole a container holding cash - the amount of which has not been revealed - before running out of the shop and down a nearby alleyway leading from Pine Avenue to Morrison Avenue.
Police searched the area but were unable to find the three men, who were all wearing hooded tops.
Part of the container that held the cash was found discarded in the alleyway.
Detective Constable Trevor Hawkins, of Poole CID, said: "McColl's shop staff were present - as were customers - when the robbery happened, but none were approached by the robbers.
"The Securicor employee was uninjured but shocked and did not need hospital treatment."
Anyone with information should call Dorset Police on 01202 222500 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
