Wakelys have upper hand

WAKELYS always had the upper hand in this physical game against newly promoted Lugger Ladies.
The Bridport team took the lead in the first quarter and never looked like losing from then on, with goal shooter Nikki Pardey adapting well to the windy conditions.
Ellie Hussey and Sarah Weston linked well to make some excellent passes into the shooting circle as Wakelys stepped up a gear.
In the third quarter, Wakelys increased their lead by slowing the game down. Slick interception in the defending circle by Georgina Weston and Emma White saw them come away with a comfortable win.

Division Three Step Ahead 37 Edwards and Keeping 19
BOTH teams made a determined start and after a some great battles in the first quarter, the scores were even.
Steps thought they edged away to a small lead in the second, but Edwards came back well with some quick passing to go one ahead by half-time.
Excellent interceptions and use of the ball enabled the Bridport side to pull away in the third and fourth however, with some accurate shooting from Tracey Gape and Carly Parsons. Centre Becki Craddock was Steps' star player.
