GRAB a slice of poetic bliss with mother and daughter duo Greta Stoddart and Tinker Mather at Dorchester Arts Centre on Friday 15 October at 7.30pm.

Greta used to be an actress and is now poet in residence at Exeter University, while her mother Tinker started life as a painter. They coincidentally began writing poetry 10 years ago, and are now both full-time published poets.

This is their first joint reading, and the Poetry Caf at the centre is sure to make listening to them bliss.

As well as Greta and Tinker, local writers will also be able to take full advantage of the poetry cafe's 'open mic' slot.

Tickets cost £6 plus concessions, call 01305 266926 to book and to sign up for the open slot.

l Greta is also holding a poetry surgery for aspiring bards between 4pm and 6pm tomorrow. Tickets are £10 plus concessions. Call the arts centre on the above number to book your place.
