LYMINGTON and New Milton stand just one victory away from the FA Cup first round proper after Jimmy Anderson's late header secured their place in the fourth qualifying round of the competition with the only goal of the game.
Anderson struck just four minutes from time to stun Southern League Premier Division side Merthyr Tydfil and book their spot in today's draw.
With the Conference sides now entering the competition at this stage and Football League sides just one game away, the Wessex League outfit could be just 90 minutes away from a glamour tie at Sheffield Wednesday or even a derby clash with Cherries.
Jubilant Linnets boss Ian Robinson said: "It was superb and the boys have done the club really proud."
Robinson, however, knows many teams will be praying to pick his side out of the hat when the draw takes place at 11am today.
He said: "We'll take anyone at home but I would imagine now that everyone will want to play us. You never know though, that might work to our advantage."
