AFTER taking a well earned break, the guys from getAmped are back on the road again with an autumn tour. The trio have been taking time out to write some new material and will be busy playing a string of dates until the end of next month, kicking off October 22 at The Joiners, Southampton, as part of a Lockjaw UK tour with Winchester-based Second Monday.

The band are also looking forward to playing The Clapham Grand on November 10 and supporting Proud Mary at the Carling Islington Acadamy.

Keep your eyes peeled for the new video for their next single, Too Far, which you can catch on satellite music channels Scuzz, MTV2 and Kerrang after the second week of November. Also, I can exclusively reveal that the second release from their debut album, Phoney Society, will be available as a download only single on December 6.

To find where you can download the track and to get information about the band first-hand, log onto www.getamped.co.uk and join their mailing list.

MR KYPS is looking for bands who would like to play a support slot. All you need to do is convince the team that you have the ability to attract an audience and you can pocket yourself some money for the evening by selling 20-30 tickets to your own friends and fans. If you're interested, call 01202 748945 or email info@mrkyps.net.

ALPHINO will be playing at The Central in Parkstone supporting The Stand-Ins on October 23. Look out for a review of the quartets EP, Title Goes Here, over the next few weeks.

IF you fancy seeing your bands demo reviewed in this column, you will need to send in your CD and a photo to: Sarah Cartlidge, Daily Echo, Richmond Hill, Bournemouth, BH2 6HH. Or if you want to send in your news and information about forthcoming shows (bands and promoters) and releases, you can email me: sarah.cartlidge@bournemouthecho.co.uk. Or phone me (afternoons only) on 01202 411251.
