TRADERS in Bournemouth town centre can sleep more easily at night now that two serial burglars have been caught.
Jason Jones, 33, of Bournemouth, was sentenced to five months imprisonment at Bournemouth Magistrates Court yesterday after admitting carrying out a burglary at Dingles department store and another at a caf in the centre of town. He asked for 30 other offences to be taken into consideration.
In an unconnected court hearing Graham Robinson, 39, also from Bournemouth, admitted carrying out a burglary at Dingles department store and asked for 40 other offences to be taken into consideration.
He was sentenced to a 12-month community rehabilitation order and a drug treatment and testing order at Bournemouth Magistrates Court.
PC Danny Thompson, officer in the case, said that officers had worked hard to bring the pair to justice.
He added: "As police officers we have to deal with commercial burglaries in central Bournemouth.
"Where local traders suffer from burglaries we will do everything we possibly can to bring offenders to justice."
