A TASTE of some of the most innovative jazz to hit the music scene in recent months is on the menu at Dorchester Arts Centre on Saturday.
Several months ago violinist Simon Swarbrick, pianist Julie Lewis and electric bassist Rodney Teague got together to form a trio to play some of the most excitingly creative modern jazz heard in Dorset for a while.
Since then the Simon Swarbrick Trio have combined their skills in several successful projects including a BBC broadcast. In this latest venture, which combines old and new material, another talented trio, saxophonist Clive Ashley, trumpeter Geoff Miller and drummer Dave Wallace will join them, guaranteeing a great night for jazz fans and novices alike.
