MUSICALS have a good knack for transferring their je nais se quoi across any medium, and Christchurch's Regent Centre will prove just that with a concert featuring some of the best songs from stage and screen.
The Poole and Parkstone Musical Theatre Society Annual Charity Concerts are putting on Now Showing on Friday and Saturday, November 5 and 6, at 7.30pm.
The concert will showcase songs from the cream of the West End and Broadway shows that have inspired the small and silver screens.
Memories will come flooding back as some of the greatest and most popular songs of all-time are belted out on the nights. Revellers can also rest assured in the knowledge that while getting down to the tunes they will also be helping the RNLI and Christchurch Rotary Club on the first night, and Guide Dogs for the Blind on the second.
Among the highlights of the show will be songs from Sweet Charity, Moulin Rouge, Grease, The Lion King and Chicago, along with lots more. There will also be tributes to classic television shows including It Ain't Half Hot Mum and The Vicar of Dibley.
Directing the show will be Sarah Chapman with musical direction by John Stringer. It is sure to be a mixed bag of great laughs and music. Tickets cost £7.50 for both nights, call 01202 499148.
