WADE Elliott says Cherries are "looking forward to getting back in the saddle" following their disappointing Carling Cup exit.
Elliott played a starring role as Sean O'Driscoll's side were edged out by Cardiff City after a dramatic penalty shoot-out at Dean Court on Tuesday.
And the gifted winger says Cherries are hoping to bounce back when they entertain League One rivals Barnsley on Saturday.
Elliott told the Daily Echo: "We're still unbeaten and, in terms of results, we're still on a good run.
"The first thing Sean said in the dressing room on Tuesday was that it was all about getting ourselves prepared for Barnsley.
"There were a few tired bodies in the dressing room because it was a tough game and it's been a tough week, but it's all about focusing on Saturday and keeping the vein of form we're in going.
"We can take something from the way we've performed over the past few weeks. It's just another challenge for us.
"I don't keep track of how many games we've gone unbeaten but all along we've had little problems to overcome.
"We had a midweek trip where we went in our cars and we've lost Dani Rodrigues and Warren Cummings to injury which disrupted us a bit.
"We've had to tinker with things a little bit and the lads have taken it in their stride and this is just another one of those things.
"It was a tough Tuesday night game and we will deal with it the best way we can. One of Sean's favourite phrases is "that's the hand we've been dealt" so we have to get on with it the best we can.
"Barnsley had a good result at the weekend when they drew with Swindon and if you look at some of the players they've got then maybe they are in a false position so it doesn't really matter who it is.
"We had a disappointment on Tuesday night but we played very well and everybody is looking forward to Saturday.
"I think the best thing to do when you've had a disappointment like that is to kick straight on with it and get straight back into the next game."
Elliott also had words of praise of the home supporters in a Dean Court crowd of 8,598: "The support was great. We came out for the kick-off and the noise was great and the place was packed. I said to Broady (Karl Broadhurst) "this is what the place should be like every week".
"We feel we've been playing some good stuff and we're fourth in the league so hopefully it will be another big crowd and another great atmosphere on Saturday.
"We've had some great atmospheres here and more often than not it's for the midweek games. I'm glad people came out. The weather is starting to turn and I'm sure there were other things they could have done which would have appealed to them but they came out and backed us and the club needs to keep selling out the ground.
"The boys like playing in front of a big, noisy crowd every week. The supporters saw a good game and hopefully they were entertained and will come back again and again."
John Spicer's loan spell with Cherries ends on November 10 - and not following Saturday's visit of Barnsley, as reported in Tuesday's Daily Echo.
Cherries' Youth Alliance clash against Newport County on Saturday has been postponed. Joe Roach's charges will now entertain Oxford in a friendly at Chapel Gate (11am kick-off).
The Playershare Raffle will present a cheque for £2,500 to Playershare on Saturday. Created by supporters in January 2003, the raffle has raised around £13,000 to help finance a number of loan signings. The raffle team can be found outside the club shop, in the Cherry Tree and around the car park.
