McAllister still has old magic

Chideock Vets 5 Chideock Best Ever XI 4
AFTER a minute's silence was impeccably observed, Tim Macdonald's Best Ever XI were put in their place by the older and wiser Veterans side in an entertaining Mark Broad Memorial Trophy, which will now become an annual event at Symondsbury Sports Ground.
A good crowd contributed to the occasion and £180 was raised for the Mark Broad Memorial Fund.
Don McAllister recorded a hattrick and Macdonald shinned a goal for his side but it was not enough as Adrian Chamney and Mike Thompson scored two each and Chris Parsons one for the winners.
Refereed by Bob Hall, the match was keenly contested - in between some hilarious moments - but at the end of the game, it didn't matter who played well or badly or which team won.
It was all about teammates and friends getting together to pay their tribute to Mark, one of life's very best, who was tragically taken in April this year.
