WIMBORNE Town once again showed their charitable side as they allowed Downton to pick up their first point of the season at the 16th attempt.
In March of last season, Paul Arnold's Magpies slipped to a shocking 1-0 defeat at home to relegated Whitchurch United and the spirit of that result seemed very much alive at Wick Lane on Saturday.
After a goalless first period, Luke Hatcham stunned the visitors to put the Robins ahead with a 65th-minute effort.
But defender Paul Roast arrived in the nick of time to bag an equaliser, his fourth goal in five games, 10 minutes later and salvage a point.
