CROCKED Cherries star James Hayter has set his sights on returning to action at the start of next month, reports Neil Perrett.
Hayter was carried off during Cherries' FA Cup clash at Forest Green Rovers on Saturday after taking a heavy blow to his left knee.
And although he was initially told he may have tweaked the medial ligaments, there were also fears he could have sustained more serious damage.
However, after undergoing a scan at the Nuffield Hospital late on Monday, Hayter was relieved to discover he had suffered only a small tear.
Hayter told the Daily Echo last night: "I've got a partial tear in my medial ligament which is pretty much what Jim Marshall (Cherries' physio) suspected.
"Nothing untoward showed up on the scan so hopefully it should be a case of me being back in two to three weeks, but we'll have to see how it goes.
