MORE than 100 children at St John's Primary School in Weymouth have staged a play called Anansi the Drummer.
The play formed part of a creative work project at the school and last night's performances in a packed school hall were staged for the entertainment of parents.
Lighting and filming director Stephen Rewse said: "The children put a lot of effort into this production which was staged with the help of Juliet Harwood from Singing Workshops and the Quangle Wangle Choir and Laura Cousins from Drumming Workshops."
He added that the project was useful towards encouraging singing, drumming and music generally in the school.
