A YEAR ago today father-of-three Colin Grady left his family home for the shop he ran in Wareham.
But the 45-year-old never turned up at The Leather Shop, which he ran with wife Janet, and police have confirmed he is today still missing.
Mr Grady, who was taking medication and may have been depressed when he disappeared, went missing from his home in Stoborough, near Wareham.
Family and friends carried out searches, displayed posters and called a press conference in a desperate bid to track Colin down.
Appealing directly to him through the media at the time, his sister, Paula, said: "Colin, we all love you and want to hear from you.
"We know you've been suffering recently and we desperately want to help you feel better.
"We know you will get better.
"We are sick with worry and would like to hear something from you. Nothing means more to us than your safety and we can work any problems out together."
Hundreds of leaflets were also distributed throughout the area but, despite around 30 reported sightings of the keen walker, who often visited Stoborough Heath, beauty spot the Blue Pool and local coastal paths, he has still not been found.
Colin is described as 5ft 8ins tall and is of slight build. He has greying, light brown short hair, brown eyes and speaks with a local accent.
He was last seen wearing glasses, a black fleece, a dark blue waterproof jacket, jeans and black lace-up shoes.
Anyone with information can call Dorset Police on 01202 222222 in confidence.
