POLICE have seized a significant quantity of cannabis plants from a warehouse in Boscombe.
On May 5 police officers were guarding the scene at a disused building called Fantastic Flowers in Norwood Place.
Scenes of crime officers wearing white suits were conducting forensic examinations and a white tent has been placed outside the building.
The find was made on the evening of Thursday, April 28, following a large fire in the building.
More than 70 firefighters were called the scene to deal with the blaze, which is believed to have been started by an electrical fault.
One man, who did not wish to be named, said he had seen officers carrying plants, bags and boxes from the building and placing them into a large removal van.
DI Kevin Connolly, of Bournemouth CID, said: "We have recovered a significant quantity of cannabis plants.
"We are still making enquiries and we would urge anyone with information to contact us in confidence on 01202 222222 or Crimstoppers on 0800 555111."
