A SERIAL criminal once dubbed Wimborne's most violent man has been jailed for a year for his "utter contempt" for the law.
A judge told Darren Riley: "You have a bad record for a man of 25 and your offences are so deliberate. You have utter contempt for orders of the court."
And he warned him that he faces even tougher sentencing if he breaches court orders in the future.
Judge John Beashel heard that Riley, who is banned from drinking alcohol in all pubs and restaurants in Dorset, was given Wimborne's first Antisocial Behaviour Order in September last year.
It was imposed for a catalogue of offences including assault, criminal damage and threatening behaviour and was "richly deserved" according to Judge Beashel.
Terms of the order included a ban on acting in an antisocial manner anywhere in Dorset and a ban from the centre of Wimborne.
When magistrates heard Riley had breached the order no fewer than four times by entering the prohibited area, they sent him to Bournemouth Crown Court for sentence.
Judge Beashel added: "The making of the Antisocial Behaviour Order was richly deserved and here you are appearing before the courts for the fourth breach of the order.
"If you breach this order again you will find the next sentence will be even longer than 12 months so it is up to you."
Riley, of Grenville Road, Wimborne, has a history of criminal offences dating back to his teenage years. Most of his crimes are alcohol-related.
His previous convictions include possession of an imitation firearm and numerous cases of assault.
Last year Riley was jailed for headbutting the landlord of the Bell Hotel in Wimborne after being refused entry on New Year's Eve.
The landlord fell, hitting a woman behind him, who also fell and was knocked unconscious.
