ATTRACTIVE Esmee Nicholls is to represent Weymouth in the new national Dove's real women campaign.
The 63-year-old from Bayard Road, who delivers the Advertiser in the Littlemoor area, joined other women from all over the region in Bristol for a special photo shoot hosted by beauty giant Dove, Lever Bros, Asda and George.
She said: "I saw a competition in an Asda magazine for Asda and Dove to celebrate the beauty of real women and I decided to enter."
So she sent in a photograph of herself and was invited up for the photo shoot along with many other women including one in a wheelchair and one on crutches.
They were all treated to a meal and then given white T-shirts to wear before having their hair and make-up done ready for the photographs.
All the women were then asked to stand on a big white base and were positioned into the shape of a dove.
Esmee said she was the oldest woman there but a previous photo shoot had included a woman of 90.
Esmee added: "I go in for a lot of competitions, including ones in the Echo, and Dove were really excellent for this one. I couldn't fault them.
"The most difficult thing was positioning everyone for the photograph. They had a photographer on a balcony and another man on the ground trying to get everyone in place.
"I was one of the women in the tail feathers area and the whole thing took about an hour to complete.
"The women there with me were from all walks of life and we all had a lovely time.
"It was nice to be pampered and I really enjoyed myself."
Esmee, who delivers the Advertiser in the Littlemoor area, said that all the women were then presented with flowers and a Dove gift bag and towel and everyone had their travel expenses covered for the day.
Pictures taken by Dove will be appearing on advertising billboards in June, but Esmee is already gearing herself up for her next swathe of competitions. She said: "I have just completed three, one for a holiday, one for some designer jeans and one for cosmetics."
