CHERRIES will host south coast neighbours Brighton and Hove Albion in a pre-season friendly at Dean Court on Saturday, July 30.

Mark McGhee's side preserved their Championship status on the final day of last season by holding Ipswich to a 1-1 draw at Withdean on Sunday.

The Seagulls will travel to the Fitness First Stadium a fortnight after Charlton Athletic, who have agreed to meet Cherries in Neil Young's testimonial on Saturday, July 16.

Sean O'Driscoll's squad, who return for the start of pre-season training on July 4, will also travel to Sydenhams Wessex League runners-up Winchester City during their warm-up campaign.

Cherries will visit Winchester's Denplan City Ground on Thursday, July 14 - two days after their traditional curtain-raiser against Hamworthy Recreation at Magna Road on July 12.
