TEENAGE dancer Kristy Cullen has fought her way through to the semi-final of BBC show Strictly Dance Fever.
The Weymouth College student has won a place in next weekend's show despite failing to impress the judges after an emotional week.
Last weekend Kristy, 18, was unable to perform because dance partner Nathan Potter injured his foot during training.
Despite not dancing on the primetime show the public voted to keep the couple in the competition.
Last night Nathan made a last-minute recovery after he was forced to watch Kristy practise their dance routines with a stand-in partner.
Nathan, from Eastbourne, had to wear a leg splint for one of the dances and he and Kristy failed to win over the judges.
Judge Stacey Haynes, a West End choreographer, said: "It was a remarkable recovery but the routine was un-remarkable."
For the second week Kristy and Nathan were given the lowest score of all the show's couples.
Choreographer and judge Arlene Phillips warned the couple: "You have two weeks to become legends and you're not going to do it unless you get some passion."
Audiences across the country again showed their support for Kristy and Nathan and from more than 80,000 people who applied for places on the show they are now one of only four couples to go through to next weekend's semi-final.
The duo are receiving local backing from friends and Kristy's family who run the Flintstones Guest House in Carlton Road South, Weymouth.
Kristy's father, Patrick, said: "Some of the judges keep running her down. She was hurt by the comments but she can cope with it."
One couple will be voted off next Saturday leaving three to compete for the £50,000 prize.
