VETERAN comic Barry Cryer performed a star turn in Dorchester. The top entertainer and writer appeared at Dorchester Rotary Club's gala dinner raising cash for Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.
The event also celebrated 80 years of the club in the county town.
Mr Cryer, who has written for a host of top comedians over the years, has appeared on television shows including Give Us a Clue, Countdown and Blankety Blank.
Rotary spokesman Peter Noble said: "We've received a lot of favourable comments from people who went and it seemed a great night.
"Barry is a talented comic and, as we expected, he proved to be extremely entertaining on a night which was raising funds for such an excellent cause."
