CHICKERELL and Charlestown Townswomen’s Guild will be holding a meeting at Marshallsay Court on Tuesday, June 16th. They will have a speaker talking on “An insight into the work of the Samaritans” which starts at 7.30pm. Visitors and new members are always welcome.
- NOAH’S Ark Pre School will be holding a summer bingo at Willowbed Hall on Friday, June 26th. The doors open at 7.30pm and a wide range of prizes will be on offer. It promises to be a fun and friendly evening for all.
THE Chickerell Primary School summer fete is being held on Saturday, June 27th from 11am until 2pm. There will be fun for all the family and they would ask that you all go along and support your local school and help them smash last years total.
- A FUN day is promised at the Transport of Yesteryear’s 11th annual fun day out and classic car show on Sunday, June 28th. It starts at 10am and takes place at School Hill in Chickerell.
Apart from the large display of vintage and classic vehicles there will be a lively dog show, a bouncy castle, birds of prey, Stampede Dance Troupe, stalls, a car boot, refreshments, a fairground organ and an arts and crafts and model area.
Entrance is £3 which includes a lucky number programme and there will also be free parking.
The days profits will go to the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance. This show promises something for all the family and has become very popular with both local people and visitors. They look forward to welcoming you all to another great day!
