YOUNGSTERS enjoyed a day out at a theme park with taxi drivers from Weymouth.
Sixteen families – including children with serious illnesses – were taken to Paultons Park in the New Forest.
Drivers from the night shift at Fleetline Taxis in Weymouth organised the trip and drove the families.
Organiser Chris Haye said: “Everybody had a brilliant time. Our thanks go to everyone who helped out.”
Families from Julia’s House and the Claire Lemmon Fund went on the trip.
Many of the youngsters are battling cancer and leukaemia or are recovering from fighting the diseases.
The Foote family, from Uploders, near Bridport, said they had a great time.
Mum Clare said wet weather did not stop Tori, Helen, Peter and Lily from having a fantastic day out Tor, aged 13, said: “We would like to thank everyone involved in the trip, especially Gary, our taxi driver.”
Clare added: “I hope everyone who was involved with making this trip possible realises how much it means to families like ours.”
