Undaunted by the discouragement of vandalism the Friends of Wyke Gardens animatedly discuss a beautiful future for the gardens
- THE FRIENDS of Wyke Gardens recently held a plant sale which raised nearly £100 towards their funds.
The group have now held their first formal meeting at which they were advised to hold a meeting on site as soon as possible to assess what they hope and dream can be done to help enhance the gardens as a valued green space in the community. A wish list can then be drawn up and advice sought on what is affordable and practicable. Possibilities can then be prioritised.
The site meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 9, at 10.30 am in the gardens. Anyone of any age who wants to help and to have a say in the future of the gardens is welcome to come to this.
