- St. John’s School plans are in hand for their Summer Music Evening on Thursday 25th June. All the children who take music lessons within school will be included.
The school has been busy with special events during the first part of the summer term.
Healthy Schools, Walk to School Week, and the French International Day.
Thanks are expressed by Headteacher, Diana Mason for the great parental support during these various events.
It was good to see so many parents joining in with the International French day, starting with the breakfasts that were so appreciated and made a lovely, sociable start to the day.
The children were introduced to several languages, including Catalonian, Polish, Thai, Spanish and of course, French.
This culminated in a special “French” assembly at the end of the day!
Special thanks are due to parents, staff and children for lots of hard work in preparation and participating in a really enjoyable week.
The school bids farewell to dinner lady, Sue Beare. She has worked for St John’s School for about 22 years, having worked for three different headteachers! She has now decided to hang up her pinafore and put her feet up at lunchtime! The school will be holding a special assembly to mark her leaving when they return to school after the half term break.
Weymouth College’s Cygnet Catering are having a special Hot Dog Day on 18th June. All children in the school will be welcome to join in and may purchase a hot dog lunch.
