A HEALTH visitor will be showing some front when she dons a feathered bra for a moonlit marathon.

Debbie Masterson is one of 15,000 bra-clad walkers who will be taking on the MoonWalk in London on Saturday.

The Cerne Abbas Surgery worker, 53, from Dorchester, said she will be thinking about one of her clients when she crosses the finish line.

The walk is organised by health charity Walk the Walk Worldwide to raise money and awareness for breast cancer causes.

Debbie said: “Through my work I come across women who have suffered the effects of breast cancer.

“There are some who have younger children and I’ve seen how devastating it is.

“This is a personal challenge for me and I think it’s important to raise awareness and to promote Walk the Walk.”

At precisely the same time as Debbie will be braving the midnight chill in the capital, her sister will be completing a charity run on the other side of the world.

Debbie’s sister Sandy Hackwell is running in the Great Ocean Road race in Victoria, Australia.

Although Debbie is likely to be facing slighter cooler temperatures, she is expecting to find a warm atmosphere around the London course.

“I think there will be a wonderful buzz and camaraderie throughout the event.

“This will be my first time taking part and I’ve heard that everyone is very supportive of each other.

“I’ve got a client in mind who I will be thinking of when I cross the finish line.”
