The charity Children of Fiji came up with a novel way of raising money to help disadvantaged children. A meal was organised around the village of Cattistock, with people moving on to a different location for each course - but working backwards! The 'regressive meal' started with coffee and mints, moved on to a delicious range of home made desserts, then to the main course of Thai Green Curry and finished with a platter of bruschetta for starters. Some people even made it to the Fox and Hounds afterwards for an aperitif or two! For obvious reasons, numbers for the meal had to be limited, but the food was a great success and a great time was had by the 24 people who took part. With the £200 raised from this event, Peter and Margaret Long (who run the charity) plan to provide a selection of talking books for the children in the Fiji School for the Blind. Peter and Margaret would like to thank all who helped with the cooking and hosting, as well as all who came along to support the event on the night.
