Abbotsbury and Langton Herring
- SOUNDS of music greeted my ears as I wended my way through the village to the May Fayre being held by the Chesil Bank Pre-School on Saturday, May 2nd.
The Fayre was being held in Strangways Hall, Abbotsbury, the venue of the Preschool.
The sun shone brightly, which was a great relief for the organisers as in past years everyone has dodged the rain.
Splat the Rat and the coconut shy were pitched on our tiny green, with pony rides clipping off from there too.
It is amazing just how many good things were on offer for adults and children and the hall was absolutely buzzing with activity.
Stalls, plants, a bouncy castle, cakes to dream about, face painting, books, toys and much more were on hand to tempt us.
I bought a lovely hosta plant from Eszter, now I just hope that the slugs in our garden don’t eat it.
It was a joy to see Sam, Ben and Daniel having great fun, surrounded by sprinkles and sugar dragees decorating little fairy cakes.
Such concentration.
Well done to everyone it was a marvellous and successful village event and I hope you made loads of money for Preschool funds.
